"New" Product Tuesday: Time for Ice Cream featuring Lawn Fawn stamps

Happy Tuesday!

Today was the perfect day for ICE CREAM.  It was 90 degrees and super hot and sunny.  I recently purchased the Lawn Fawn "Here's the Scoop" stamp and die set along with the Owen's ABCs stamps.  They were perfect for my ice cream craving today -- and no calories!  Who knew that stamping would be the best cure for sweet cravings?

I am also entering this card into the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #131.  Below is the sketch that inspired this card layout.  I want to scatter hearts around the card because that's how much I LOVE ice cream.  I used glossy accents to help them stand out.

Materials:

• White card base: 4.25"W x 11"H, scored at 5.5" mark
• Peach patterned paper: 4.25"W x 5.5"H
• White card stock for the mat and the ice cream pieces
• Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop stamp and die set
• Lawn Fawn Owen's ABCs stamp and die set
• Avery Elle Finished Frames die set
• Hero Arts Shadow Inks: Fresh Peach, Mint Julep and Butter Bar
• Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
• Ranger Glossy Accents
• ZIG Wink of Stella Pen
• Copic Markers for the cone: E50, E53, E55

Directions:

• Stamp the ice cream scoop outline in black ink.  Stamp the ice cream scoop filling into each outline form using each of the three stamp colors. Die cut with coordinating dies and add Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
• Stamp the ice cream cone onto some copic friendly paper.  Color with copic markers
• Stamp the Y, U, M circles using the three stamp colors.  Die cut with coordinating dies
• Die cut the white mat using the larger frame from the Avery Elle finished frames set.
• Adhere the ice cream scoops and YUM circles using foam adhesive.
• Stamp hearts in alternating colors around the sentiment and cone.  Finish with Glossy Accents and allow to dry.
• Assemble all the layers.  YUM!

New Release: JessicaLynnOriginal.com Working Dogs Stamp Set

Hi everyone,

I'm here with another fun JessicaLynnOriginal.com NEW RELEASE post!  Today the JessicaLynnOriginal.com Working Dogs and Toy Dogs stamps sets are available on the site  I made a series of cards featuring some of the stamps from the Working Dogs set.

For those of you who know me, you probably see the irony here.  I am absolutely petrified of dogs.  See this post for some historical context.  So while I was making these cards, I was laughing at the irony of the sentiment "#ILoveBigDogs."  Who knows maybe one day all of that will change...

Anyhow, back to the stamp set.  This set features 5 dogs stamps, 4 sentiments and 2 adornments (heart and paw).  It's a very versatile set and I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing the other designs from the JessicaLynnOriginal.com design team.  Just click on the designer blog links in the right column of my blog.  We'll be posting projects from both stamps sets throughout the month, so be sure to check back often!

Directions:

• Die cut three polaroid frames from white, black and grey yardstick.  You'll use the outer frame of the black and grey to form the frame.  You'll use the interior white square for the images.
• Stamp the images on the white squares
• Color with copic markers
• Die cut three mats using the Finished Frames dies cuts
• Adhere the dog images and polaroid friends on the mat an at angle.  Add colorful washi tape at the top
• Stamp the sentiment and paws

"New" Product Tuesday: Ombre Window Card featuring Sizzix Windows Framelits

Hello everyone!

Hope you're having a fantastic summer and enjoyed some cool fireworks over the weekend.  Today I've made a simple square card featuring the Sizzix Windows Framelits & Stamps set by Stephanie Barnard.  This set is awesome!  It comes with 14 stamps each with coordinating dies along with three window dies: the outer frame, the inner grid and a single square.  You can make window cards, quilts,  and even just cut tons of squares for other craft projects!  The possibilities are endless.

Materials:

• Card Base: 4.25"W x 8.5"H, scored at 4.25" mark
• White card stock for the window frame
• Ombre patterned paper - I'm using My Mind's Eye Adorbs "Story" paper, but you can easily make your own using distress inks
• Sizzix Windows Framelits & Stamps
• Copic Markers
• Pink Flower & Lady Bug: R23, R25, R55
• Yellow Flower & Bees: YR21, Y08, Y15
• Aqua Flower & Ant: BG10, BG23, BG15
• Green Flower & Butterfly: YG21, YG25, YG17
• Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
• Adhesive Tape Runner
• Foam Adhesive

Directions:

• Stamps all the images you want to use on copic-friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color with Copic Markers. Die cut using coordinating dies.
• Die Cut the Window Frame from white card stock.  You'll need to use both the interior grid frame and the outside rectangle frame to make the window frame.  The window grid that comes with this set is a 3 window x 4 window rectangle grid.  To make a square card, simply trim off the bottom row of windows using a craft knife.
• Die cut the squares from the patterned paper.
• Arrange the squares in order from light to dark and adhere them to the window holes.
• Add the images on each square using foam adhesive.

I loved the look of the pink squares alone as well, so I made two more note cards without any stamping.  These would make great everyday note cards to send to friends.
