MY CARD

Materials:

• JessicaLynnOriginal.com 1950's Space Ranger Stamp
• White card base: 4.25"W x 11"H, scored at 5.5" mark
• White card insert: 4.25"W x 5.5"H
• Patterned paper
• Orange Card Stock
• Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle Dies and Sizzix Circle Dies
• Darice Swirls Embossing Folder
• Copic Markers
• Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
• Versamark Ink
• Alphabet Stamps
• White Embossing Powder
• Adhesive Tape Runner
• Foam Adhesive

Directions:

• Run the white card and embossing folder through your die-cut machine
• Cut the stitched circles off to the side.  Use two separate dies to make the border.
• Adhere the pieces of the circle in place
• Stamp the 1950's Space Ranger Brentwood Owl using Memento Tuxedo Black ink
• Color in with Copic Markers and fussy cut out.
• Add the Brentwood Owl using foam adhesive to the center of the circle
• Stamp the Trick or Treat Sentiment using Versamark Ink on orange card stock
• Adhere the orange strip to the patterned paper strip
• Adhere the strip to the top of the card

I made a card using the Designer Travel Handbag Couture digital stamp.  This seemed appropriate as I'm heading to London today for a week-long business trip.  I wish I had a designer travel bag like this one to carry everything in!  Alas, my standard black rolling suitcase will have to suffice.

Materials:

• JessicaLynnOriginal.com Designer Travel Handbag Couture Digital Stamp
• Kraft card base: 4.25"W x 11"H, scored at 5.5" mark
• Orange card stock, Green card stock
• Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies
• Lawn Fawn Cole's ABCs dies
• Copic Markers: YR23, YR24, YR27

Directions:

• Print the digital stamp onto some copic-friendly white card stock.  What I love about these digital stamps is you can resize the image to suit your needs.  I could have a made a tiny handbag, or instead, print it at a larger scale to make it seem like a "carry on" travel bag.  The stamps are quite large, so you can even place these on a scrapbook page and they would look awesome!
• Color the image with Copic Markers
• Die cut the image using the second largest stitched rectangle
• Die cut the orange frame
• Die cut all the letters
• Assemble and you have a quick card!

The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up: New Challenge #9 - Oh Christmas Tree

Hello friends,

I'm happy to share that I've joined The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up design team.  What does this mean?  It means I get to create Holiday cards all-year round to share with you.  These monthly challenges are super fun and you can read more about the challenge details here.  Best of all, you can participate too and earn a chance to win some awesome prizes!

Here are the challenge details for September 2015:

• Blog link: The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up 
• Challenge dates: September 1-30, 2015
• Optional theme: "Oh Christmas Tree" - include some element of a decorated tree in your card.  This theme is optional.

For some inspiration, here is the card I designed and details on how I made the card.

Materials:

• White card stock for card base: 4.25"W x 11"H, scored at 5.5" mark
• Red card stock for the frames
• Fresh Brewed Designs Sleeping Santa digital stamp
• Digital patterned papers from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles
• Christmas Plaid
• Deck the Halls
• Textured Red
• Glitter Trees
• Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies
• Red card stock
• Copic Markers
• Versamark Ink
• Embossing Powder
• Adhesive Tape Runner
• Foam Adhesive

Directions:

• Print the Santa Claus image on the different patterned papers.  You can "erase" the white parts of the image using any photo editing software so only the lines show up on the patterned paper.
• Fussy cut the individual pieces of the image: sofa, blanket, hat, mittens
• Print the Santa Claus image on some white copic-friendly card stock. This will serve as your base for paper piecing. Color in the milk, cookies, face, beard and fur trim using copic markers
• Die cut the card base using the largest stitched rectangle die.
• Paper piece the elements on top of the white card base.
• Stamp a sentiment on the glitter trees patterned paper using Versamark ink and heat emboss with your favorite embossing powder.
• Using the smallest stitched rectangle, die cut the glitter trees patterned paper.
• Assemble the layers of the card according to the picture.
